Charlotte Dowdell, a certified prosthesis fitter for 24 years, founded Charlotte’s Dreams. Throughout her career, Charlotte has fitted hundreds of women with prosthetic forms and bras. Unfortunately, many cancer survivors have gone without breast forms and bras or have resorted to using other materials like socks and stockings filled with rice and beans. This unfortunate situation is due to financial hardship.
It touched Charlotte’s heart.
Charlotte saw a great need to help these survivors. That’s why she founded Charlotte’s Dreams, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
Charlotte has also served as a Regional Prosthesis Coordinator for the tri-state (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut area. She has presented at national health fairs and organized fashions shows, luncheons and makeovers.
Charlotte's Dreams is recognized as exempt under section 501(c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
